Couples Therapy

Discover Transformation & Reconnection

The demands on your relationship are real and relentless. Between family, career, finances, social pressures, and each partner’s changing needs over time, it’s easy to feel like your relationship is under constant strain. Even strong partnerships can lose their balance under these modern demands.

I work with couples who are ready for meaningful change—whether you’re stuck in cycles of conflict, navigating a breach of trust, or struggling to find the spark in your relationship. Together, we’ll uncover what’s fueling your disconnection and rebuild a foundation of trust, intimacy, and respect.

Even if past therapy hasn’t helped, my warm but direct approach can help you break old patterns, heal deep wounds, and create lasting connection. I use Relational Life Therapy (RLT), a trauma-informed, growth-oriented model that helps couples move from blame and disconnection toward mutual respect and intimacy.

I also support individuals who want guidance on inviting a hesitant or uncertain partner to begin couples therapy. Change often starts with one brave step.

What to expect

Commitment

Couple's therapy is not one-size-fits all. Some couples may only need a few sessions to find what they are looking for. Others may remain in therapy for an extended period of time. On average, I encourage couples to be prepared to commit to 8 therapy sessions initially, preferably at the same time each week, for 8 consecutive weeks. This allows for consistent progress, and helps reduce the risk of things getting worse between sessions.

Overview

I will meet individually with each person, initially, to assess the needs of the relationship and make sure I am the right therapist for you. From there, we'll meet altogether and I will provide my initial impressions and speak directly to the problematic dynamics. My orientation centers around addressing issues of dominance, submission, anger, fear, shame—and building new skills that will promote a more egalitarian and intimate partnership. I'll help you change behaviors, heal trauma, and learn new skills that will nourish your relationship.
